My good friend and mountaineering buddy Jun Osano told me about the widest waterfalls in the Philippines, and he proudly claimed that it is located in his hometown. A trusted friend that he was, I believed him, and the thought of exploring that waterfalls lingered in my mind for years. Year after year after year he tried to convince me to go with him to Bislig, Surigao del Sur and explore Tinuy-an Falls. Internet was excruciatingly slow during those years and there were still no available sites that showcase photos of Tinuy-an falls. My friend Jun doesn’t have a photo with him either. So the desire to see and photograph the widest waterfalls in the Philippines grew stronger.
